CUPPA ANYONE? - STAMP TO SHARE BLOG HOP

One of my favourite beverages is coffee!  No excuse needed to coffee with my friends.  I love the smell, the taste, the frothy milk and of course, the company!  I even have my own coffee machine at home just in case I don't get to "do" coffee with friends for a few days.  So it is with great pleasure that the Stamp to Share Design Team are featuring the Coffee Cafe bundle this month - woop!

I love this sentiment because it sums up exactly how I feel! I wanted to do something that would celebrate coffee and friendships, so I created this mini album.  I plan to take a few photo's of my mates, whose company I so enjoy on these coffee outings, and add them to the album at a later date.

Using the Coffee Break DSP made coordinating this album so easy!  While I didn't use the coffee images in the paper for the album, I did go with the same colours in my stamping.  The directions for this wee album can be found HERE by Traci Cornelius.

I am trying my hardest to send more cards!  So this card is for a friend who just happens to really love PINK!  I created the watercolour wash with Melon Mambo, Powder Pink and Lemon Lime Twist and then stamped the cup outline in Archival Black ink directly over the wash once it was dry.

I then added the cup sleeve and top after first die cutting the shapes using the Coffee Cups Framelits Die.  I love how these stamps and dies work together to bring a 3D effect to your projects.  I finished both of my projects with the new Glitter Enamel Dots for just a little touch of pizzaz.

For yet more coffee inspiration head on over to the wonderful Caroline van der Straaten from the Netherlands.

WHEN YOU THINK OF CHRISTMAS - STAMPIN' UP! ARTISAN BLOG HOP

When you think of Christmas colours, do you typically think of Red, Green and Gold.  Or possibly Blue and Silver, which has become a favourite over the years?  With the August release of the Carols of Christmas stamp set and Card Front Builder Dies, I decided to go for a whole new Christmas colour scheme - Bold and Bright!

The Carols of Christmas stamp set and dies are the perfect way to get a head start on your Christmas projects, even if your project is a little out of left field like mine!  You can order these products as a bundle, saving 10%.  If your earned Bonus Coupons in July then you can get a further discount on these awesome products when you purchase in August!

I have created a watercolour background wash with two of this years In Colours - Lemon Lime Twist (of course!) and Berry Burst and combined them with Soft Sky to form a fluid background beneath the large sentiment.  That was one of the things that drew me to this set, the size of the sentiments!  You almost need nothing else to make your projects pop!  Of course, they look great teamed with some of the smaller stamps in the set like these baubles, which I have popped up on Mini Dimensionals.  Have I told you how in love with these mini's I am??!

Thankfully, I didn't have to fussy cut the tiny baubles, there is a die to help you with those too!  All this prettiness needed a bit of bling as well and the Iridescent Sequin Assortment was just perfect with lots of lovely colours to choose from and three different sizes of sequins - love that!
