PAINTED HARVEST - STAMPIN' UP! ARTISAN BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan blog hop.  You have probably just arrived from Miriam van Eyden's beautiful blog.  I just love everything Miriam makes!  If you are just starting here, hit the "Next" button at the end of this post to continue on the hop.  You won't want to miss a thing!

This month we are featuring a beautiful new stamp set called Painted Harvest, available for purchase in the new Holiday Catalogue which went live at the beginning of September!

I love the painterly effect of this two step stamp set and I kept the colours fairly true to a Sunflower.  That was easy to do as I used the gorgeous Autumn Harvest Designer Series Paper to pick all my colours from and use on the projects too.  I am a Neutrals/Regals girl, so I was always going to love this DSP!  See that Treat Tube filled with Tic Tac's?  Yep, we have them too!  How fun are these to fill with your favourite treat?  Think table setting treat or Halloween hand out!

I went a little overboard with this card and envelope, but I really couldn't resist the flower image.  I stamped directly on my projects, except for one flower, which I fussy cut and popped up on a Dimensional.  Don't like fussy cutting?  Never fear - the leaves have a handy coordinating punch!
I can see so many amazing uses for this fabulous bundle of product and I just happen to know that your next top with the talented Rochelle Blok will have you dreaming about getting your hands on this bundle yourself!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORGEOUS - STAMP TO SHARE

We can never have too many Birthday cards, right?  Since I design for my family, and they need to have a stash on hand as well, it does keep me rather busy.  I am delighted that the Stamp To Share Design team are featuring the Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle of products this month, as it helped my stash of Birthday cards grow!

I love that the bundle includes this amazing die font!  To create the ombre look, I simply sponged Flirty Flamingo ink from the bottom of the Whisper White card, letting it run out as I moved toward the top, and then I die cut it once it was dry.  So, so easy!
You may think I embossed the background, but actually, I used one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Embossing Paste to give this card front a raised, dimensional look.  This embossing paste dries so fast, making this a very easy card for a beginner to make!

My next card is a little more involved.  Even though it is all stamping, there is a lot of it!!  Thankfully the Hello Gorgeous stamp set is photopolymer, making it unnecessary to use a stamp placement tool.  You can see exactly where you are stamping!  I stamped a shortened front panel before slicing apart, creating a gap to stamp my sentiment in.  The stamped panels were then popped up on dimensionals to create another element of interest.  I just adore the Lemon Lime Twist colour peeking out from beneath!

Of course, I also carried my artwork and colours through to the inside making this card the "whole package"!  I have used the Iridescent Sequin Assortment on both of my cards for subtle embellishment.  I have found the Fine Tip Glue Pen is the best adhesive for sticking these little bits on my cards.

Next up on the hop is Caroline van der Straaten, who, I am told, is celebrating a birthday in just a few days!  Sssssssh!  You didn't hear that from me!

MERRY PATTERNS - STAMPIN' UP!

You won't want to miss a thing as we feature a limited time stamp set, Merry Patterns!

The first two images that really jumped out at me were the Pine Boughs and the gorgeous Reindeer, so I made these the star of my projects today, even though I love the whole set!

I also chose to keep the colour scheme very simple with white, green and silver and using the Be Merry Designer Series Paper made that so easy!  With a choice of Real Red or Garden Green Christmas elements and designs to choose from in the paper, I picked a design that resembled trees to go with my Reindeer!  The design on the Smoky Slate banner was created by stamping one of the candle filler images along it in the same ink!

I also took the Mini Pizza Boxes for a test run!  Oh, my - love!  Stamp first and then put together - easy!  The Pine Boughs make a lovely decorative border around the box.  The boxes have a shiny coating on the inside that means you can put in things like a cookie without any greasy stain coming through and they are totally food safe!  They are the perfect size for a little treat of Chocolate too!

I adore the beautiful Christmas images in this set and if you do too, then for a limited time, you can get the Merry Patterns Stamp Set FREE when you host a party with your crafty friends and have $450 AUD/$500 NZD in sales!  Not only will you receive this exclusive holiday stamp set but you will also earn Stampin’ Rewards at the same time! This offer ends on 31 October, so don’t wait.  Message me or contact your own demonstrator today to book!

Next up on the hop is my good friend Rochelle Blok in Australia.
